COSCO SHIPPING Ports acquires majority stakes in Xiamen port subsidiaries
COSCO SHIPPING Ports has acquired a majority stake in both Xiamen Haicang Free Trade Port Zone Investment and Construction Management and Xiamen Ocean Gate Container Terminal. The move is consistent with the company’s strategy of expanding its terminal business and establishing an integrated logistics platform to provide customers with one-stop logistics services. COSCO will be able to leverage its international and domestic terminals and integrate both subsidiaries into its global business network, as well as build a leading domestic and international supply chain headquarters in Xiamen and provide highly efficient, safe, and convenient supply chain services to customers, as a result of the acquisition of both companies.
