Maersk and CMA CGM alter joint services connecting Europe and East Coast South America

Maersk and CMA CGM have made adjustments to their joint shipping services between Europe and the East Coast of South America. The Samba/SAFRAN service will now call the port of Rio Grande in Brazil, while the BossaNova/SIRIUS service will no longer make stops at Rio Grande. The changes will be effective from April 2023, and the updated port rotations have been announced for both services.

The new port rotation for this service will include London, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Tanger, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Paranagua, Santos, Tanger, and London. Meanwhile, the BossaNova/SIRIUS service will no longer include the Rio Grande port, with the last vessel to call at the port being the Maersk Lota on March 27, 2023. The updated port rotation for this service will include Algeciras, Tanger, Salvador, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Santos, Itaguai, Tanger, and Algeciras.
