The £482 million e-commerce move by DHL Parcel UK

DHL is investing £482 million in its DHL Parcel UK e-commerce business. The investment comes after a 40% increase in volume since the beginning of 2020 and an increase in demand for its B2B and e-commerce services.

The expansion is intended to support the development and advance the company’s leadership in sustainable and digital logistics.

In Coventry, a new center is being built that will be environmentally friendly. The center will process over 500,000 products every day and create 600 new jobs. This includes management, drivers, warehouse workers, and other administrative positions.

The Deutsche Post DHL Group plans to invest €7 billion in clean technology and sustainable fuels by 2030 to support their sustainability policy.

Peter Fuller, CEO of DHL Parcel UK, believes that e-commerce will continue to have a big impact on our lives. With this investment and our focus on sustainability and being digitally ready, we will be well-positioned to take advantage of the growth in the market.
