YILPORT expands train shuttle in Sweden

YILPORT, based in Turkey, has increased the length of its train shuttle between Gävle and Stockholm from 540 metres to 630 metres for the autumn and winter of 2022. In addition, the company intends to increase the frequency of the Swedish train connection from three to four trains per week. YILPORT aims to reduce emissions per container transport by investing in more frequent and longer trains, citing the electrified and dual-track railway system between Gävle and Rosersberg in Sweden as ideal for sustainable intermodal transport. The company is also considering running trains up to 700 metres long, which would transport 45 45-foot containers.
