Container ship capacity on the Asia-Europe route is more in sync than on the Transpacific route

When compared to the Transpacific route, scheduled capacity on Asia-Europe routes reflected actual deployment, even four weeks in advance. Carriers scheduled fewer flights between Asia and the Mediterranean, but ended up adding capacity. Schedules three to four weeks in advance were somewhat accurate, and carriers added more capacity than was necessary. Capacity correction was greater in Week 7, but carriers added some back before deployment. Capacity on Asia-Mediterranean routes was restored for Weeks 7-9.
