DP World has opened a rail-connected container freight station at Hazira Port in India

DP World, a global marine terminal operator, has opened a new rail-linked container freight station (CFS) at India’s Hazira Port. Adani Ports manages the facility, which has a capacity of up to 36,000 containers per year and is outfitted with advanced technology and security systems. The CFS will offer warehousing and distribution services, as well as customs clearance and value-added services like repackaging and quality control. DP World hopes that the new CFS will strengthen the port’s role as a critical link in the global supply chain, create new opportunities for businesses, and improve regional trade and logistics efficiency.
