Hapag-Lloyd will begin a new Latin America service with increased port coverage and dependability

Hapag-Lloyd is planning to introduce a new service in Latin America called WCSA Feeder 4 (WS4), with the goal of improving schedule dependability and expanding port coverage. The service will rotate across ports in Chile and Peru, replacing transshipment from San Antonio, Chile to Callao. The WS4 service is set to begin on June 5 with the container ship MV CAPE BRUNO. Hapag-Lloyd has recently expanded its global network by launching a new service in Asia and a new West African Service 1 (WA1) in May 2023.

  1. I’m really thinking about the potential challenges that Hapag-Lloyd might face in operating the new WS4 service, and how could they address them? Any thoughts are welcome!
