Open Discussion: What are your parameters to evaluate vendors while procuring freight rates?

1. carrier’s performance (schedule, delays, etc), customer service, freight

2. Look at free days demurrage and detention

3. The transit time that has been promised by the vendor matters the most since you promise the same to your end customer and when they do not adhere to the promised timelines, we know who bears the brunt of bad customer relationships!

4. Simply look at the quotation and the transit time shared by the chosen forwarder

5. Personally speaking, the carrier and its performance evaluation that the vendor does should be of utmost priority.

   1. This stands quite important to me as well. Usually we are prone to looking at everything else but this which is vital.
