Established in 1988 by Filipino-Chinese entrepreneur John Gokongwei Jr., Cebu Pacific has grown into the Philippines' largest airline, renowned for its commitment to affordable and reliable air travel. Headquartered in Pasay City, the airline commenced operations in 1996 and has since expanded its network to over 60 destinations across Asia and Oceania.

Cebu Pacific Cargo, the dedicated freight division, leverages the airline's extensive route network and modern fleet to offer comprehensive air cargo services. Operating from its primary hub at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), the cargo division utilizes both dedicated freighter aircraft and the belly space of passenger planes to ensure flexible and efficient cargo transportation.

The cargo fleet includes converted ATR 72-500 freighter aircraft, such as the RP-C7252 and RP-C7253, each capable of carrying over seven tons of cargo and accommodating up to seven AKE unit load device (ULD) containers. These aircraft are instrumental in serving inter-island routes and transporting essential goods, including perishable items, pharmaceuticals, and express shipments.

Cebu Pacific Cargo has achieved several milestones, including the introduction of dedicated cargo aircraft in 2018, which revolutionized the Philippine air freight market; the expansion of cargo operations in 2020 to support pandemic-related logistics challenges; and recognition in 2023 for exemplary support in government relief efforts, airlifting over 258 metric tons of humanitarian cargo.
